About the photographer:
Hi there. Thanks for visiting Asterion Photography. My name is Richard Horn, and I have been taking photos for enjoyment since high school. Retirement from a 50 engineering career gives me more time to pursue hobbies and to start this website.
My first “real” camera was a Kodak Retina Reflex IV with 50 and 200 mm lenses, which I used through college. Later, I added a Nikkormat FTN and retired the Retina. You will find images captured from both on the pages of this website. Recently, I had the Nikkormat restored and it is now being used by a grandson! Currently, I’m using a Nikon D-750 and a suite of lenses that include AIS and AFS primes and zooms. For shooting 120 film, I acquired a Bronica ETRSi and primes, and for 35 mm film, a Nikon F2.
